Clinical Psychologist

I work mostly with adults.

My specialties are anxiety, depression, and personality disorders,  but I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients, including those dealing with PTSD, life transitions, chronic illness, psychosis, substance abuse, GLBT issues, and relationship issues.

During therapy, I think it is important to work at the level of thoughts and actions while also considering feelings and deeper insights.  I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Humanistic Psychology.  My approach is eclectic, which means I may look at a particular problem from several different perspectives such as holistically, behaviorally, or psychodynamically.  My flexibility allows us to find the approach that works for you.
